Continental Grain Foundation
The Continental Grain Foundation, under the leadership of Mary Ann Fribourg, supports a wide range of educational and charitable activities, focusing on serving the needs of Continental Grain Company employees, their families, and their communities.
In cooperation with the National Merit Scholarship Corporation, the Foundation awards two 4-year scholarships (currently up to $5,000 a year) to qualified students who are the children of Continental Grain Company employees (or employees of one of its businesses). The Foundation also provides matching funds for employee contributions to U.S. colleges and universities.
In addition to these efforts, the Foundation actively supports the volunteer work of employees and provides grants to programs in their communities. In recent years these grants have supplied funding for adult literacy and ESL training, after school activities, leadership training programs, agricultural education, and other local community programs throughout the United States.
